Amelia B Schantz is an artist and creative currently living in San Francisco, California, but working all over the world. Much of this work happens with restaurants, wine bars, musicians and small brands. Telling real stories using real intentionality and creativity has always been her purpose.
Storytelling is so much stronger with a visual, and being an artist, Amelia can't help but share how she sees her clients, and more largely the world. She is incredibly grateful to all of those that have trusted her to tell their story and become a permanent part of hers.
Graphic design, apparel & merchandise
Amelia loves finding creative ways to bring a brand's personality to life beyond the obvious. Whether it's a logo, custom pattern, packaging, apparel, merchandise, or promotional piece, she approaches each project with curiosity and an appreciation for the little details that make something memorable. Her favorite designs include the work she did for Greenhouse, Odd Bird Cafe, and Futura Coffee Roasters. The goal is always to create something that feels unmistakably true to a brand while becoming something people genuinely want to wear, use, or hold onto.
Restaurant, food & beverage photography
Photographing a restaurant has always been about more than what's on a plate. It's the light in the room at a certain hour, the hard work behind a dish, the feeling of a full bar on a weekend. Amelia photographs food, drinks, interiors and the people behind them, so the images carry the atmosphere of the place along with what's on the table.
Creative direction & branding
Amelia also supports anything from building a brand or artists's visual and digital identity to developing thoughtful content strategies that help you grow. Through branding, design, photography, and intentional content planning, the goal is to create a recognizable presence that feels authentic and connects with the right audience. For Amélie, which was voted in 2026 to be the Best Wine Bar in SF 2026, this has meant everything from its first menu redesign in twenty years to ongoing creative direction and social strategy.
Music & brand photography
For musicians and small brands, photography is part of building their digital and visual identity. Amelia has worked with various artists to create a cohesive brand identity, that is reflected in a set of professional photos to use for their own marketing purposes going forward.
For the release of Alana Silver's single “Patio Door,” Amelia developed and produced a collection of photography and release content alongside the song's music video, which she co-directed. She has also photographed a branding shoot for the music producer Sounds By Sush.
Fine art & hand-painted commissions
Alongside commercial work, Amelia paints, like all the time. When she's not flinging around acrylics or experimenting with new materials, she can be found completing a comission project. Her most recent, which was also the smallest but toughest piece of comission artwork, was for the launch of Rift: hand-painted small logos with leather paint onto custom Nike Air Force 1s — a job that called for a lot of patience, but made the best gift.
Who it's for

Whether you're building a visual identity from scratch, creating your first merchandise collection, or looking to make something special for an existing brand, I love collaborating with people who care about what they do, have a story to share, and want to create something that transcends trends.
